Sean Flynn is a professor of economics at Scripps College in Claremont, California. He is the author of the international best-seller Economics for Dummies and co-authored the world’s best-selling college textbook, Economics: Principles, Problems, and Policies.
Sean teaches and writes about healthcare economics and is an expert on free-market healthcare, a system which delivers the world’s best healthcare for a much lower cost. An occasional commentator on FOX Business, ABC News, and NPR, Sean holds a Ph.D. in economics from UC Berkeley, specializing in behavioral economics and behavioral finance.
Son of a WWII combat veteran and U.S. Navy doctor, Sean is also co-founder the first firm to patent and market student-loan default insurance, and a founder of the non-profit Employment Means Success. An avid martial artist, Sean is former aikido national champion and has coached five of his students to U.S. national aikido titles.
