Phil Carlisle is a Loma Linda Native. He was born in the Loma Linda Sanitarium & Hospital in 1949. Phil attended K-8th grade at Redlands Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School. Phil’s high school years were spent at Loma Linda Academy. Phil studied Business Administration for two years at La Sierra College in Riverside California.

 

While attending Loma Linda Academy, Phil began working at the Loma Linda Market as a Box Person. He continued working at the Market while attending La Sierra College as a Stock Person. Phil left La Sierra College and the Market to work for an aircraft manufacturing company in San Fernando Valley. In 1978 Phil returned to the Loma Linda Market and eventually became the General Manager in 1987, a position he held until retiring from the Market in October of 2008.

 

Phil has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1989. Phil served as President of the Chamber in 1994 and 2002. In January of 2009 Phil was honored as Board Member of the Year for 2008. Phil has been a member of the San Bernardino/Loma Linda Crossroads Rotary Club since 1992. He served as President of that club in 2000/2001.

 

Phil is married, the proud father of two daughters, and enjoys spending time with his two grandchildren. Phil enjoys bowling and playing golf. His favorite vacation is taking a cruise to anywhere.
